Project Description:
The City of Shawnee owns the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center, a very busy event center, that is booked out for the next year and half with events. This building has struggled to perform, having an abundance of leaks with complaints of water on the dirt and concrete floors and other places as well as a lack of insulation during events held there. One option for this project was to apply coatings on the top of the metal roof and tear out old insulation as well as install new spray polyurethane foam inside. They were also in need of the removal of skylights and ridge vents. Due to the busy event calendar for this business, fire suppression systems and fly (for their livestock events) suppression systems, they chose to install spray polyurethane foam on the roof with three (3) layers of coatings on top of it, which yielded them a 15 year warranty, as an elegant solution. Time was of the essence, both with winter approaching and the deadline set by the City of Shawnee.
