Project Description:
This project was a comprehensive roof restoration for the original Life Church location, which had been expanded multiple times over nearly 25 years, creating complex roof transitions and various issues. Before starting, over a dozen anchor points were installed and sealed for safety. The restoration began with pressure washing and surface preparation, including rust-inhibiting primer application where necessary. Numerous seams were caulked and reinforced with a three-coat system for longevity. SPF was applied to a ridge assembly and high-side flashing to address ongoing issues. Multiple coats of Everest HT, color-matched for aesthetic appeal and long-term performance, were then applied. Safety was prioritized with a full safety program, daily safety monitors, harnesses, and lifts. Challenges included the high dome, walls with downspouts and gutters, and other walls and flashings. The roof restoration using coatings was the best choice for Life Church due to its cost-effectiveness, aesthetic appeal, and reduced construction time and disruption. This approach aligns with Life Church's commitment to using fluid-applied systems to protect their investments, save energy and money, and responsibly manage their resources. The church had multiple areas with significant leaks, necessitating a thorough and lasting restoration.
