Project Description:
The Bethany First Church of the Nazarene Arches needed a new roofing system due to ongoing issues with leaks after previous repairs. A combination of leaks, wear, and deterioration continued to cause problems, proving that a longer-term solution was needed. By installing a new spray foam system, we were able to provide durability, reliability, and peace of mind.
Project Steps:
- Set up safety measures and have pre-construction meeting with Bethany First Church/representatives. Delivery of lifts.
- Power wash with chemicals to clean the roof other than missing areas.
- Chalk lines and cut out loose areas in the roof. Power broom missing roof area.
- Install black primer to entire roof surface area to allow "bake out" of any trapped moisture.
- Fill in areas torn out to match existing thickness and allow for a smooth finish. This was done using SPE Spray Polyurethane Foam.
- Install 1 ¼* - 1 ½* spray polyurethane foam on the entire roof. Grind edges and allowed water to flow.
- Apply gray & tan acrylic latex base coat to the entire roof surface at approx. rate of 2.5 gal./sq. (20 year), back-rolling to fill any pin holes.
- Apply white acrylic latex top coat to the entire roof surface at approx. rate of 2.5 gal./sq. (20 year).
- Seal all flashings as necessary. Clean up and haul away all roofing debris.
